The Fal Pro Viking Turnout rug is as tough and as durable as its name suggests. The rug has a superbly comfortable fit and offers a layered construction. These layers are similar to the layering found in the most technical yachting/mountain climbing clothing. The layering makes the rug completely waterproof whilst virtually eliminating condensation from the inside of the shell, thus maintaining breathability. In fact, the hotter the horse becomes, the more cooling air is drawn between the layers providing dynamic temperature control. The Fal Pro Viking also contains 2 absorbent Blotting layers, one next to the outer shell to absorb condensation and one next to the anti rub lining to prevent leaks.
On top of all this the Fal Pro Viking is a silver interactive rug, which combines Fal Pro's expertise in design with X-Static. The Silver Fibre, within the silver interactive rugs, is a performance textile fibre that has silver permanently and irreversibly bonded to its surface. It will not wash off and lasts the life of the rug. The fibre, despite its silver layer, retains traditional textile characteristics resulting in a range of rugs that offer superb warmth, comfort and protection plus the therapeutic benefits of silver.
X-static rugs have been shown to increase blood flow and reduce swelling, thus complementing and enhancing your horse's natural healing system as well as minimising fatigue. The natural properties of X-static also mean that the rugs will keep your horse warmer in the winter and cooler in the summer. Also, static is eliminated along with the associated discomfort for your horse. The silver within the rug inhibits the growth of odour causing bacteria and fungi and has been recognised as the most effective anti microbial agent available.
The Fal Pro Viking turnout rug is available in 200g with a zip on neckcover. The rug has a 1000 denier ballistic nylon outer and silver interactive lining, fillet string and cross surcingles.
