The Mizz JTE (Just Togs) Switch Riding hat is a helmet at the cutting edge of fashion! The Switch helmet comes complete with six different coloured interchangeable front vent strips.
The riding hat is covered with a black velveteen material and has been made to conform with the 2 Europeans standards below. The Mizz Switch Riding Hat also carried the BSI Kitemark.
The comfortable lightweight JTE Mizz Switch riding hat features the JTE adjustable dial system to ensure a perfect fitting helmet.
Many of the Just Togs helmets feature the innovative JTE Dial System which consists of an independent adjustable head band. This can be adjusted by turning the dial to tighten or loosen the fitting of the hat.
The result being that within a few helmets a number of head shapes and sizes can be accommodated. On purchasing the helmet simply adjust to the correct fitting.
Please note: The BSI kite mark is normally required on any helmet used in any sort of competitive riding irrespective of the level. So as to comply with safety standards any helmet involved in an impact should be replaced.
On top of this any helmet should meet the criteria of one of the two European standards:
EN 1384: This is the normal riding hat and jockey skull standard as accepted throughout the whole of the European Community. No chin cups are allowed.
PAS 015: This is generally accepted as covering a greater number of criteria or similar criteria at a higher standard, than that applied by the European standard (EN: 1384). PAS 015 includes a stability test to limit excessive movement during wear or a fall.
Most British Organisations look for this level of protection. Helmets are put under vigorous testing on shock absorption, durability of clip/fastenings, deflection of peak and penetration resistance.
No riding helmet will completely prevent an injury. In extreme circumstances even if wearing a helmet a head injury could occur. Helmets are designed to minimise injury wherever possible.
