The Shires Split Reins are made from good quality leather.
Split reins are designed to look smarter than pelham roundings when 2 reins are unnecessary. They are ideal for use by children in the show ring when riding a stronger pony that requires a Pelham.
Split reins could also be used with a 3 ring gag in required.
The Shires split reins have a buckle adjustment on the reins and hook stud billets
The leather of the reins is 1/2" thick and they are available in pony length only
