Hats & Helmets

The main specification to look for when choosing a riding hat is that it is certified as safe. In the UK this means it should be marked with either the notation EN1384/BSEN1384 or PAS 015, and also bear the BSI Kitemark.

All the riding hats we offer at Totally Tack comply with safety standards, so you can browse through our selection with confidence.

We offer everything from traditional velvet peaked helmets to skull-caps with a fun choice of interchangeable coloured silks.

Choosing the right size is very important if the riding hat is to operate at its full potential to keep your head safe in an accident. It should fit snugly, but not tightly, and when fastened not slip or move about. Measuring the head correctly is therefore crucial to ensure a good fit.
